Commercial Plant Services
COMMERCIAL BIOPHILIC DESIGN
Commercial plant environments designed to stay presentation-ready.
Trendy Gardener designs, installs, leases, and maintains interior plant environments for offices, hospitality properties, restaurants, healthcare and wellness spaces, retail interiors, multifamily communities, and other high-visibility commercial properties throughout Des Moines and Central Iowa.
One accountable partner from site assessment through ongoing service
Commercial plantscaping succeeds when design, installation, and maintenance operate as one system. Trendy Gardener coordinates all three so the property team is not left managing gaps between vendors.
We evaluate the site, establish the design standard, specify plants and containers, coordinate procurement and installation, and build the maintenance or leasing structure around the property’s operating requirements.

Built around the realities of commercial properties
The plant strategy must account for operating hours, access control, public traffic, janitorial routines, HVAC cycles, loading and elevator access, floor protection, maintenance routes, budget approvals, and the expectations of owners, tenants, guests, and employees. Those constraints are resolved during planning—not after plants arrive.

Questions Prospects Ask Before Moving Forward
Do you work with existing plants or only new installations?
Both. Trendy Gardener can assess an existing commercial plantscape, recommend corrective work, assume ongoing maintenance, or replace inconsistent elements with a more coherent program. Takeover work is subject to plant condition, container suitability, and service-access review.
Can commercial plants be leased instead of purchased?
Yes. Qualifying properties can lease plants and planters with design, installation, scheduled maintenance, and replacement management bundled into a recurring program. Purchased installations with separate maintenance are also available.
How is a commercial proposal developed?
The proposal is based on the site conditions, square footage and number of zones, specimen scale, planter specification, service frequency, access requirements, ownership model, and expected presentation standard—not a generic plant count alone.
