RESIDENTIAL BIOPHILIC DESIGN
A more considered way to live with plants.
Trendy Gardener creates residential plant environments with the presence of collected design. Sculptural specimens are paired with artisan, antique, and architectural vessels; placed in relationship to the room; and supported through professional care when the client wants the installation managed long term.
The room comes before the plant
Ceiling height, furniture scale, sightlines, finishes, natural light, supplemental lighting, pets, traffic, and household routines determine what belongs in the space. We assess those conditions before selecting a species or vessel so the finished composition feels integrated rather than added.

Objects with history, character, and imperfection
Our vessel library extends beyond standard retail planters. We source hand-thrown terracotta, carved stone, aged limestone, vintage and antique containers, sculptural ceramics, and architectural vessels with texture, patina, and irregularity. Each plant-and-vessel pairing is selected as a singular living object.
A paid consultation protects the outcome
Residential projects begin with a paid consultation because photographs and measurements cannot reveal everything that affects plant performance or proportion. The consultation establishes the design direction, identifies environmental constraints, clarifies the client’s desired level of involvement, and prevents purchases that will not succeed in the room.
Designed honestly for real households
Not every room can support the plant a client initially imagines. When conditions are wrong, we adjust the species, change the scale, improve the lighting, revise the placement, or recommend a preserved botanical feature. The goal is not to force a sale. It is to create a result that still feels exceptional after the novelty wears off.
Questions Prospects Ask Before Moving Forward
Is the consultation fee applied to the project?
Yes. The residential consultation fee is $150, and the full amount is applied as a credit toward your order when you proceed. If you decide not to move forward, the fee is retained as compensation for on-site analysis, professional recommendations, and design direction.
Can you design around plants I already own?
Yes. Existing plants can be assessed for health, scale, placement, and container suitability. Strong specimens may be retained, repotted, relocated, or incorporated into a broader design; plants that undermine the composition or cannot perform in the space may be recommended for removal.
Do you provide ongoing care after installation?
Yes. Residential Plant Concierge is available for qualifying homes and collections. The scope may include recurring visits, grooming, fertilization, pest monitoring, repotting, seasonal adjustments, travel care, and replacement sourcing.
